Instructions for use
- Fitting and settings
The user must try out movements with his equipment and carry out a test in the hanging position, in order to ensure that it is suitable for his/her body weight and that it offers the comfort required for its expected usage. The hip belt must fit to the waist and feel comfortable. The leg loops must exactly fit to the upper part of the thigh. To correctly attach the climbing belt, please refer to the illustrations. The hitching straps must be positioned in such a way that the back part of the leg loops can be pulled up or released, if necessary.
2. Adjustments
It is extremely important that all belt bands (hip belt and leg loop belt) are pulled through the buckles correctly and then drawn back. Your life can depend on it! After being drawn back through, the length of the belt band should amount to at least 8 cm and should lie freely.
3. Tying In
It is extremely important that the leg loops link with the hip belt at the anticipated tie-in point. We recommend a figure eight knot for tying in. Be aware that the material loops do not have a supporting function and are only suitable for securing the climbing equipment. Never tie in yourself to the material loops with the rope – in so doing you are putting your life in danger.
4. Securing and special usage
For the correct attachment of the aiding equipment for securing, abseiling, climbing – see the illustrations. Always attach the sections of the aiding equipment with a locking karabiner on the belay loop intended for this purpose. It is possible to connect the sit harness with the chest harness. Never use a chest harness without a direct rope connection to a hip harness. In so doing, you are putting your life in danger.

Maintenance and lifespan
The lifespan of this product depends upon its type of usage and the storage. The duration is dependent upon the conditions of its surroundings. Certain environments considerably speed up the wear and tear of this product: Chemical surroundings, ice, damp, sea water, sand, sharp edges. Exceptional damage can reduce the lifespan to one single application. Avoid any kind of contact with chemical substances. This product may not be reused following contact with chemical reagents. In the event that the climbing harness gets wet, it is important to dry the climbing harness in a natural way in a warm, ventilated room, but not close to radiators or similar sources of warmth. During transportation, it should be ensured that this product does not come into contact with the above-mentioned damaging factors. For transportation, we recommend the use of a rucksack, an appropriate bag or a special container. Depending upon the storage conditions, the climbing harness can have a lifespan of 5 years. The optimal mode of storage is unpacked, in a dry, cool, dim and ventilated place. => maximum lifespan = 5 years (independent of usage)

To clean the product, wash it first in clear, cold water (household quality). If the product is still soiled, we recommend washing it in warm water (max. 40° C) with pure soap. Rinse the cleaned climbing harness out thoroughly and dry it as described above. To disinfect, we recommend a product containing quaternary ammonium compounds, which have increased effectiveness through a sufficient amount of chlorohexidine. Soak the product in a thinning solution recommended for general usage. Again, water of household quality should be used for this purpose. The temperature must not reach above 20° C.
