ATTAC the original
On the fixed-rope route, the rule is very frequent clipping and unclipping of carabiners, and the attentiveness of the climber should be required as little as possible. SALEWA offers the optimum solution, the ATTAC. Not for nothing did it do dazzlingly well in a fixed-rope test by the German journal “Bergsteiger” (March edition): “The SALEWA Attac carabiner has without doubt the best closure construction (for its inspired design and security of use) for climber of fixed-rope routes. The carabiner is always automatically locked as soon as it is released. Some manufacturers now replicate the SALEWA carabiner, but in preparation and finish (and at the same time lighter weight) the original appears to surpass the copies.”
